Lupita Nyong’o shined in a pair of metallic gold heeled sandals while promoting her upcoming film “A Quiet Place: Day One” at a New York City photo call on June 23.
Held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the immersive photo call resembled a distressed post-apocalyptic subway station with graffiti reading “stay alive” and “stay quiet.” Nyong’o posed alongside co-star Joseph Quinn and director Michael Sarnoski.
For the promotional occasion, Nyong’o wore a flowing white dress by the London-based luxury womenswear brand Me+Em. The sleeveless garment was made of a pleated fabric, featuring a mock neck and an ankle-length skirt. Adding a colorful pattern to the monochrome dress, a thick animal print belt with a gold square buckle was wrapped around Nyong’o’s waist. Nyong’o frequently collaborates with her stylist Micaela Erlanger, who has helped curate her looks for the “Quiet Place” press tour.
Picking up her belt, Nyong’o opted for a pair of metallic heeled sandals in a light hue of gold. The open-toed shoes featured a relatively simplistic design, with a medium-width strap across the toes and one buckling around the ankle. With a thin heel lending her a few additional inches, Nyong’o’s dress just brushed the tops of her shiny shoes.
Keeping with the animal-inspired wardrobe choices, Nyong’o recently wore a Betsey Johnson leopard print dress with black lace detailing along with leopard print stilettos. The actress also wore a custom sparkling gown by Mônot with soaring peep-toe stilettos for a recent appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” At a Hollywood Confidential event held in her honor earlier this month, Nyong’o made a statement in black-and-white Mary Jane heels by Chanel.
In May, Nyong’o was seen wearing Aldo Stessy 2.0 stiletto pumps while promoting “A Quiet Place,” further demonstrating her penchant for wearing heels while on the job.
The horror film is set for release on June 27.
