A crash involving a pedestrian closed part of Route 72 in Bristol during the early morning hours on Monday.
The crash was reported shortly before 4:45 a.m. in the area of Route 229, according to the state Department of Transportation.
DOT officials said the crash was reported as a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.
It was not immediately clear if any injuries were reported.
The DOT did not have an estimate as to when Route 72 would reopen.
