AN urgent hunt for a 13-year-old girl has been launched after she went missing in Ealing, West London.
Mejan, no last name given, reportedly messaged her mother from her phone at 6.30pm last Sunday, June 23, and has not been heard from since.
Ealing Police have posted on X, formerly Twitter, as part of a public appeal for information about any potential sightings. They ask if anyone sees her to call 999 immediately.
In a statement, Ealing Police said: “13-year-old Mejan is missing from Ealing.
“She messaged her mum at around 6.30pm on Sunday evening but hasn’t been seen since.
“If you have seen her, please call 101 ref 01/507744/24. For an immediate sighting, dial 999.”
According to the Missing People charity 81 per cent of children are found within 24 hours, and 91 per cent are found within 2 days.
Of the 320,000 reported incidents each year, more than 130,000 incidents are adults and almost 190,000 incidents are children.
