DURING his time in prison, Malcolm Graham managed to carve out a successful rap career.
Here we take a look at the life and crimes of the Liverpool native.
Malcolm Graham, a 27-year-old from Bootle, Merseyside, is a convicted criminal known for his involvement in gang-related activities.
While serving time, he gained attention for his social media presence and forged a rap career under the name Mazza L20.
His music and criminal background have made him a controversial figure in the drill rap scene.
Graham managed to create a rap career from his cell, making headlines for illegally recorded TikTok and YouTube videos.
Most of the music he uploaded saw him brag about his crimes, calling out ‘snitches,’ and warning he’s ‘high risk’.
One of his most popular videos, Murderside, gained a million views.
The lyrics involve him boasting about a pump action shotgun when he was just 14-years-old.
He also makes reference to “rats” – a slang term for people who work with police as informants.
The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) was alerted about the film and had it removed.
A spokesperson for the MOJ said: “Prisoners found with mobile phones will be punished and can face extra time behind bars – our staff have seized a phone and the video has been removed.”
Graham was imprisoned in 2016 after police found footage on his phone showing him test-firing an automatic pistol used in the killing of Kevin Wilson.
Wilson was just 17 when he was shot in the back on February 7, 2015.
Graham pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm, possession of bullets and two counts of wounding with intent.
He was jailed for 11 years.
A number of people were arrested in relation to Mr Wilson’s murder but no one was charged.
There is nothing to suggest that Graham had anything to do with the murder.
Judge David Aubrey, QC, described Graham as “obsessed and fascinated with lethal weapons”.
It is not known which prison Graham served his sentence.
After serving eight years, Graham was released from prison.
He has continued with his rap career and has a fanbase that’s remained loyal.
In April 2024, he released a mixtape called Against All Odds Mixtape.
