St Lucia: The Indian team is currently in the West Indies for the ongoing T20 World Cup. In a few days time, the Indian team would tour Zimbabwe for a five-match T20I series. As per a report on the Indian Express, Shubman Gill is likely to lead the side in the absence of seniors like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. As per the same report, the squad for the tour is likely to be announced by the end of today (June 24). Players like Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rinku Singh will also be picked for the series in all probability.
Among others, youngsters like Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Riyan Parag are also likely to find a spot.
The tour of Zimbabwe is set to start from June 6.
