The Baltimore Fire Department reported a drowning Saturday afternoon adjacent to the Under Armour waterfront headquarters at 2601 Port Covington Drive in the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River off the Baltimore Peninsula neighborhood of South Baltimore.
Khalilah Yancey, a fire department spokesperson, said Sunday that three individuals were in the water and one was unaccounted for. A fire department officer swam to two of the individuals and attempted to find the third. All of the swimmers were removed from the water.
The unresponsive swimmer was taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner.
“At this time, the Baltimore City Fire Department cannot confirm any specific details about the gender of the victims,” Yancey said.
