A PUNTER at Royal Ascot sunk the bookies for £200,000 profit thanks to some Ryan Moore magic.
The person in question had £100,000 on Fairy Godmother in the first race on Friday, the Albany Stakes.

That looked to be a genius move at halfway, with Moore trapped behind a wall of horses with nowhere to go.
But Moore, as always, didn’t panic and switched Fairy Godmother around the entire field to get a clear shot at stablemate Heavens Gate.
She still looked to have an impossible task at the furlong pole, but Moore got the perfect tune out of her and the pair got up in the dying strides, much to the dismay of Star Sports.
Their Head of PR Luke Tarr told Racing Post: “When we saw Ryan Moore and Fairy Godmother finding all sorts of traffic, we thought we’d dodged a bullet after laying £100,000 on course at 2-1.
“However, Moore was not to be denied and got his filly up.
“It’s another winning big-stakes bet we’ve taken this week, having taken £100,000 at 13-8 on Auguste Rodin on Wednesday and £20,000 at 13-2 on Jayarebe yesterday.
“This week has been one of the toughest Royal Ascots in our history, but this is why we’re here, to take big bets, and we’ll be here tomorrow to do it all again.”
Although favourites won the first two races, the rest of the card turned out to be a bookies benefit.
Hot favourites Ramatuelle and Ethical Diamond were beaten in the two races and the concluding race went to an 18-1 shot.
It’s safe to say Royal Ascot has been a tough week for both punters and bookies … at points.
