There are five Munster representatives on the list of URC award winners for the 2023/24 season with Jack Crowley, Graham Rowntree, Shane Daly, Tadhg Beirne and Alex Nankivell all recognised for strong seasons.
Jack Crowley was voted as Players’ Player of the Year, Next-Gen Player of the Year and was named in the Elite XV.
Crowley’s Players’ Player of the Year award was voted on by the Captain and Vice-Captain of all 16 teams, with all nominees required to have made a minimum of nine appearances.
In voting for Crowley, one of his peers said: “He has been great for Munster the whole season and pivotal at the back end of the campaign, bringing them to top of the table.”
The BKT Coach of the Season is voted for by the league’s head coaches with Rowntree receiving the recognition from his peers.
Daly has been named as the 2023/24 URC Ironman having started all 18 regular season games for the province, racking up 1,430 minutes.
The Ironman award recognises the player who has racked up the most minutes over the 18 rounds of the URC.
The only 10 minutes he missed during the URC regular season were due to a yellow card and he also played the full 160 minutes of our two knock-out games.
The Elite XV was determined by a media vote and players with the media panel provided a shortlist of 10 per position by URC StatMaster.
