MAKE-UP trends come and go, and recently, it’s soap brows that have got everyone talking.
Soap brows, which involve using soap instead of brow gel or wax to shape and set your eyebrows in place, go way back.
While bloggers have re-popularised the trick, soap brows, which provide similar looking results to eyebrow lamination, are an old Hollywood hack.
They’re a classic make-up artist and even drag queen technique that have been used for photoshoots throughout the years.
Using soap enables beauty fans to get really fluffy, brushed-up, editorial brows that traditional brow products alone can’t quite achieve.
But one woman, who loves her soap brows, has been slammed online – with nasty keyboard warriors claiming she has ‘eyebrow blindness’.
Becky Jane Boulton, a 33-year-old mum-of-two, took to social media to show off her bold brows, leaving many open-mouthed.
Alongside a clip which was shared with the caption ‘I love my brows, I don’t care what anyone else thinks of them’, Becky penned: “Everyone slating soap brows and I’m just here still obsessed.”
The beauty fan gave her followers a close-up look at her fluffy eyebrows, which she styled using the Pink Honey brow glue.
The mother explained that “nothing’s budging” her eyebrows, and recognised that they’re “definitely not everybody’s cup of tea.”
Despite this, she added: “This is my way of doing them and I love them.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @beckyjaneboulton, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a jaw-dropping 369,100 views.
But social media users were left massively divided by Becky’s eyebrows – whilst many thought they looked ‘lovely’, mean trolls were out in full force.
Not only did people accuse her of having ‘eyebrow blindness’, but savage haters said that her make-up made her look older.
One person said: “Oh gurl you got the eyebrow blindness, don’t worry we have all been there.”

Another added: “They don’t suit you and make you look older.”
A third commented: “I feel like this is gonna end up being one of those things we look back on in the future with shame. Like sperm brows.”
To this, Becky replied: “Perhaps.. but for now I love it.”
Despite this, many make-up fans were eager to praise Becky’s eyebrows.

A second chimed in: “These comments do not pass the vibe check. You do you lovely!”
Meanwhile, someone else penned: “I don’t know why people are hating on soap brows! I love them and yours look great, so neat.”

Amy Bates, hair stylist, make-up artist and founder of thebeautyrebellion.co.uk, says: “If you have lines and wrinkles under the eye, the right brows can draw attention away from that area and make it less noticeable.
“In her younger years, Kate’s brows were thin and heavily plucked but now they are growing back thicker.
“I imagine a specialist has helped her using a technique such as HD Brows, where the natural brows are tinted and shaped.”
And she also appears to have ditched harsher eyeliner too.
Amy says: “Kate is still wearing eyeliner but it is much softer and not too dark. She now prefers smoky brown and bronze hues, which are more flattering.
“Thick lines can make people look older and Kate understands this.”
Clapping back to the nasty keyboard warriors, Becky then told Fabulous: “Make-up’s our own personal choice, everybody likes different things.
“I’ve always loved eyebrows, I love that trends come and go, I’ve been there for all of them and this is definitely my favourite yet.
“I’m sorry if they cause offence to anybody but they’re here to stay.”
