According to Fabrizio Romano, rumoured Tottenham target Michael Olise has now been offered a new deal by Cyrstal Palace.
While most reports over recent weeks have suggested that Eberechi Eze is the Palace star who is near the top of Tottenham’s wishlist (The Sun), his teammate, Olise, has also previously been mooted as a target for the North London side.
It was reported by HITC earlier this year that the 22-year-old was being watched by the Lilywhites, with the report adding that Spurs had even reached out over the winger’s availability.
However, over the last few weeks, several outlets have installed Chelsea as the favourites to land the Frenchman, with the Blues thought to be currently working on a deal to sign the player (GiveMeSport).
Romano has revealed that Palace have now decided to offer Olise a new long-term deal in an effort to ward off interest from Chelsea and others.
However, the Blues are still thought to be confident of their chances of bringing the player to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The journalist also names Bayern Munich and Newcastle United as contenders for Olise’s signature, stating that the two clubs have been allowed to talk to the winger.

Olise leaving Palace will be bad news for Tottenham as that will only make the Eagles more desperate to hang on to Eze as they would not want to lose their two best players in the same window.
It appears as if Tottenham would have to meet Eze’s release clause in order to sign the England international this summer.
