The shooting of a 17-year-old girl that had originally been reported as self-inflicted has been ruled a homicide, Baltimore Police said.
Officers from the Northwest District responded to the 3100 block of Chelsea Terrace in the Concerned Citizens of Forest Park neighborhood at around 5:17 a.m. on June 6 for a report of a possible self-inflicted shooting, police said. The victim, identified as Navaeh Ferguson, was found with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Ferguson was transported to an area hospital, where she was declared dead on June 11. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined Ferguson’s death to be a homicide, police said Wednesday.
