Actress Sally Lindsay plays June in Cold Call, who is duped out of all her money by a scammer.

In Cold Call, Sally’s character June reunites with an old classmate called Des, who tells her that the man who stole her money is a local businessman Kirk Wiley (Paul Higgins).
Daniel Ryan portrays Des, a character who was once a schoolmate of June and now leads a fraud support group.
Ryan is recognized for his roles as DI Tony Manning in The Bay and Dan in Mount Pleasant.
His acting credits also include appearances in The Bill, Doctor Who, Casualty, Home Fires, Vera, Death in Paradise, Four Lives, Crossfire, Litvinenko, and Passenger.
Paul Higgins takes on the role of Kirk, a respected businessman who covertly operates a fraud empire.
Higgins is best known for his portrayal of Jamie in The Thick of It and In the Loop.
His other notable appearances include roles in Taggart, Staying Alive, Silent Witness, Hope Springs, Utopia, Raised by Wolves, Line of Duty, The Ipcress File, and Slow Horses, as well as in the film Victoria & Abdul.
Taj Atwal stars as Hana, June’s daughter, who reveals her pregnancy to her mother at the beginning of the series.
Atwal’s acting portfolio includes roles in In the Club, Stella, Line of Duty, Van der Valk, Truth Seekers, The Syndicate, The Control Room, Trying, Hullraisers, Too Good to be True, and Death in Paradise among other series.
Katie Redford plays Lizzie, who is Kirk’s daughter.
Redford is most recognised for her role as Lily in The Archers.
She has also appeared in Mount Pleasant, Doctors, Still Open All Hours, Alma’s Not Normal, Not Going Out and Outlander.
Dan Skinner takes on the role of Aubrey, a fraudster working under Kirk.
Skinner’s acting career includes appearances in My Family, The Armstrong and Miller Show, Shooting Stars, Friday Night Dinner, The Kennedys, Yonderland, Sex Education, The Crown, This Time with Alan Partridge, The Witchfinder, The Hunt for Raoul Moat, Still Up, Brassic, and Beyond Paradise.
The series focuses on June Clarke, a woman targeted by a phone scam during a low point in her life, leading her on a quest for justice and revenge against the scammers who took her money.
June is a diligent carer struggling to make ends meet, spending her days at a care home and her nights caring for her mother, Sophie (played by Melanie Kilburn).
After losing her job and discovering her daughter Hana is pregnant, she hastily decides to sell her home.
However, when the proceeds from the sale are stolen in a scam phone call, June seeks answers.
She reconnects with her schoolmate Des Grigsby, who runs a fraud support group, and with his help, she tracks down the fraud’s architect, Kirk Wiley—a successful businessman with a respectable facade.
June finds employment as a carer for Kirk’s elderly mother, using her position to infiltrate the Wiley household.
There, she uncovers a family riddled with dysfunction and dark secrets.
When tragedy strikes, it pushes June to the edge. Determined to recover her stolen funds, she delves deeper into Kirk’s illicit world, risking it all.

Cold Call originally aired on Channel 5 in 2019.
But due to its popularity, the broadcaster is showing it again.
The series is airing over four consecutive nights at 9pm on Channel 5.
It kicked off on Monday, June 17, 2024, and will conclude on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
