Former first lady Melania Trump is scheduled to host a fundraiser next month for Log Cabin Republicans, her second time this year hosting a gala for the group representing LGBTQ conservatives.
The former first lady will host the event at Trump Tower in New York City, Log Cabin Republicans confirmed. It will take place July 8.
The money from the event will be used for the organization's efforts to support the presidential ticket and down-ballot Republicans in November's elections.
Politico first reported that Melania Trump would be hosting the fundraiser.
The July fundraiser will mark a rare instance of engagement on the campaign trail for Melania Trump, who has mostly been absent from her husband's White House bid.
She hosted another fundraiser for Log Cabin Republicans at Mar-a-Lago in April, and she appeared alongside former President Trump in March when the two cast their ballots in the Florida primary.
When asked on primary day if she would appear alongside her husband on the trail, the former first lady replied, "Stay tuned."
She appeared at former President Trump's campaign launch in 2022, but she has not joined him during any of his recent rallies.
Melania Trump was also absent throughout former President Trump's trial in New York City, where he was eventually found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in connection to a hush money scheme during the 2016 campaign.
“She’s fine, but I think it’s very hard for her,” Trump said of his wife during a Fox News interview after he was convicted.
