AN INFLUENCER has left people fuming after revealing how long she took in an aeroplane loo.
Whilst many of us will simply head to the toilet, do our business and quickly brush our teeth whilst on a long haul flight, one content creator has been slammed as ‘rude’ and ‘selfish’, after she shared what she got up to in a plane’s toilet.
Posting on social media, beauty fan Kate Elisabeth shared her in-flight beauty routine whilst on an Emirates flight to Dubai, leaving many open-mouthed.
Alongside the short clip Kate penned: “I told the woman in the queue I would be two minutes…”
She then added: “Oops..”
First of all, Kate washed her face with a CeraVe hydrating cleanser, which took almost two minutes.
After patting her face dry, she then applied the Garnier Moisture Bomb eye sheet masks underneath her eyes.
Following this, she then used a Sensodyne pronamel toothpaste and brushed her teeth.
After more than nine and a half minutes in the aeroplane loo, Kate removed the under eye sheet masks and applied a Duac acne treatment cream to her face.
She then put some Burt’s Bees lip balm on her lips and washed her hands.
Before leaving the toilet, she sprayed herself with some deodorant and posed in the mirror.
Despite telling the queue that she would take just two minutes to freshen up, she ended up taking 14 minutes and 44 seconds in total.
At the time of writing, the TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @kateelisabethh, had clearly left many open-mouthed, as it had quickly amassed 952,900 views.
But social media users were horrified by Kate’s video and many took to the comments to share this.
IF you're planning on going away any time soon, you'll need to pay attention to the following unwritten plane etiquette rules...
RECLINING SEAT: Podcast host and etiquette expert Nick Leighton explained that you shouldn’t recline your seat if the passenger behind you is working on their laptop.
He said: “Nobody likes their laptop snapped in half.”
Before you recline your seat, it’s best to check to see what the passenger behind you is doing.
If they are on a laptop, ask before you move your seat back.
FEET: A flight attendant told The Sun: “Your boarding card tells you a number and a letter, this will be the reserved seat that you have paid for.
“Your feet, which are attached to your body, should do their best to reside within this space and stay far away from anyone else.
“If you do insist on stretching out, please make sure your feet are covered up.”
CHAT: TV travel expert Samantha Brown explained that conversations from strangers aren’t welcome, suggesting that others shouldn’t expect a chat.
She added: “I’m not a talker. Plane time is me time.”
Not only did people slam the influencer as ‘rude’, but others claimed that she could have done her skincare at her seat, rather than hogging one of very few toilets.
One person said: “I’d be p****d if someone took 15 min in an aeroplane bathroom doing what they could do at their seat. Brush your teeth then allow others to use the bathroom.”
Half of this routine could have been done at your seat

Another added: “This isn’t a flex. Be respectful of other people in public places. Half of this routine could have been done at your seat.”
A third commented: “You don’t see how this is incredibly rude?”

At the same time, someone else penned: “So rude and out of touch.”
Not only this, but another user chimed in: “That’s so selfish.”
