BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Jamestown man was arraigned Monday morning on an indictment charging him with murder related to the death of a baby, according to the Chautauqua County District Attorney's Office.
On April 22, it is alleged that 26-year-old Sean Thomas intentionally strangled and shook 8-month-old Aniyah Turk. She was severely injured and put on life support before she succumbed to her injuries in May, officials said.
Thomas received an eight count indictment charging with him second-degree murder among other related crimes.
He was held on bail of $1 million cash or a $2 million property bond and is scheduled to return to court in July for further pre-trial proceedings.
