OYSTER BAY, N.Y. (PIX11) – Oyster Bay pools will open a day early with free admission ahead of an expected heat wave across the tri-state area, officials announced Monday.
Community pools will open Friday at 11 a.m. and remain open through Labor Day, Sept. 2, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. And on Friday, pool admission will be free to kickstart the summer fun.
“The warm, sunny days of summer are upon us,” Supervisor Joseph Saladino said.
Some pools will stay open until 8 p.m. on a rotating basis on the following schedule:
For the rest of pool season, daily admission costs between $4 and $8 depending on age and special discounts. For non-residents, daily fees are $12 and $8 for children between 3 and 14 years old.
Individual memberships for a single pool cost $100 for residents within the park’s district and $125 for a non-resident. Family memberships go for $200 and $225, respectively, with discounts for seniors, volunteer firefighters and more.
