The third season of Bridgerton has only just ended, but fans are already waiting for another season to premiere.
Nicola Coughlan‘s Penelope and Luke Newton‘s Colin took center stage in the latest run of the popular Netflix series. Already, there is speculation that Luke Thompson‘s Benedict will lead Season 4.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jess told fans that they should prepare for a bit of a wait.
“I’m really excited about what we’re writing. We’re toward the end with the writers room season, with the scripts. And I feel like it’s some of my best work and my writers room’s best work. We’ve just really gelled our collaboration, and we’re firing on all cylinders, so I can’t wait for fans to see what we have,” she told the outlet.
She added that they are working to speed up the process. However, you can’t rush things. As for why, Jess offered an explanation.
“We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language,” she said. “And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range.”
At that pace, we should expect the show to return in 2026.
Jess remained mum on which Bridgerton sibling will be the focus of the season. But she said that at least some fans are “going to be very, very happy” with the decision they’ve made.
So far, only two stars have been confirmed to return for the fourth season. However, we got an exciting update about another beloved pair.
