Summer heat returns Sunday with an expanding heat dome that will build through all of next week. The humidity will also be on the rise, pushing the heat index above 100 degrees, making for potentially dangerous conditions if you are not hydrated, or spending time in the shade when outdoors.
Rain chances will be limited to an isolated pop-up late-day storm, mainly on Monday, with generally dry conditions until next weekend.
High temperatures will approach record daily highs throughout the week, in the mid- to upper 90s, under blazing sunshine and scattered clouds.
