‘Hi Friends, From #Melodi’: Giorgia Meloni, PM Modi All Smiles In New Video From G7 – WATCH
A selfie and video capturing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at the G7 summit have taken social media by storm. The picture, snapped by PM Meloni during the summit in Italy’s Apulia, shows the leaders sharing smiles. In the video, Meloni greets with “Hello from the Melodi team,” with PM Modi by her side. This comes as PM Modi was in southern Italy for a day upon Meloni’s invitation for the G7 Outreach summit, marking his first foreign trip since beginning his third consecutive term.
This isn’t the first time Meloni and Modi have captured attention with their interactions. Last December during the COP28 summit in Dubai, Meloni shared a selfie with Modi, tagging it as ‘Good friends at COP28’ with #Melodi, which quickly went viral with 47 million views.

Earlier on Saturday, a picture of the two clicking a selfie at the G7 Summit went viral. It showed the two leaders smiling at the camera as Meloni takes a picture.
Upon reaching the summit venue, Modi was received by Meloni with a namaste. PM Modi was attending the 2024 G7 Summit at the invitation of Italy’s Meloni. He wrote in a post on X, “Thanked her for inviting India to be a part of the G7 Summit and for the wonderful arrangements.”

PM Modi and Meloni also discussed bilateral defence and security cooperation and hoped to further enhance the defence industrial collaboration.
