MAGA Senate hopeful attacks reporter over damning story: 'Only leftists take you serious'

Royce White used to be an outspoken Black Lives Matter supporter. But these days, the former basketball star, now 33, is a far-right MAGA Republican who has allied himself with Infowars' Alex Jones and "War Room" host Steve Bannon and hopes to unseat centrist Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar in Minnesota's 2024 U.S. Senate race. And he has been endorsed by the Minnesota Republican Party.

The Daily Beast has done a lot of reporting on White, highlighting his history of antisemitic comments and other controversies. Now, he is angrily lashing out at the publication.

The Daily Beast's Rachel Olding, in an article published on June 13, reports, "Royce White, the GOP-endorsed Senate candidate for Minnesota, appears to be a little sensitive to reports about his string of missteps. After The Daily Beast reported on Wednesday that White had confused a map of Minneapolis' drinking fountains for a map of crime stats, he argued that one of his testicles garners more 'media attention' than The Daily Beast."

Olding notes that the Beast also published an article "in which the mother of one of White's children provided financial statements showing that he owes her more than $100,000 in child support payments for a daughter with whom he is barely involved."

The Daily Beast's Roger Sollenberger, who wrote that article with colleague Mini Racker, tweeted, "Royce White, the Minnesota GOP's endorsed Senate pick, says he's 'current' on his child support — but he owes one mother more than $100,000, for a daughter she says he isn't involved with at all. Me w/ @MiniRacker."

White, in response, angrily tweeted, "That's not a scoop, the arrears are public record.... Yes the anti-family court system is working exactly as it's designed to, create discord between families and family members. Roger, you're a cuck and we won't take one single back step. I didn't SAY I'm current, I am current. Only leftists take you serious."
