Home Bargains shoppers flock to buy ‘lush’ 99p dupe of iconic designer body wash that smells ‘amazing’
KEEN Home Bargains shoppers have spotted a special product on shelves which they claim is a dupe of a designer body wash.
The “lush” 99p shower gel is apparently “exactly like Thierry Mugler Alien”, an expensive designer perfume brand that also makes lotions and shower products.
One savvy customer shared a pic of the XALIEN product on Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.
Hundreds flocked to the comments to exclaim about how much they’d loved the shower gel – going for £29 less than the designer version.
One woman wrote: “I’ve bought this on my holiday to Morocco it smells amazing.”
Someone else said “It’s lush”, and another customer said the fragrance really lasts on her skin.
However one woman warned other shoppers about potential reactions to the product.
She said: “Smells ok but wouldn’t recommend if you have sensitive skin.”
Several bargain fans asked their friend to pick them up a few bottles of the shower gel.
Angel is a popular designer perfume by the brand Thierry Mugler – and retails for around £60 a bottle.
Body wash from the same range goes for at least £30 with some retailers selling it for £40.
It’s described by the designer brand as a “sensual” perfume with “praline, red fruits and vanilla”.
Home Bargains has been praised before for its perfume dupe selection.
Just weeks ago customers noticed the retailer’s Oh Yes! Pour Femme perfume as a dupe of Georgio Armani’s Si Passione Eau De Parfum.
While the original retails at £92 for 50ml, the Home Bargains’ product is a staggering £90 cheaper.
One shopper said: “I picked some up yesterday and it smells lovely.”
Another described the perfume as “lush”, while a third added: “It smells gorgeous.”
Armani said the premium fragrance is a “bright and sensual perfume that emits confidence, seduction, and strength”.
