NEW YORK (PIX11) --- An alleged drug dealer is accused of gunning down a man in the Bronx eight years ago, authorities said Friday.
Bruce Morris, aka "G", allegedly shot and killed Jerome Jemison, aka "Sal", during a narcotics deal near 868 Faile St. in the Bronx in August 2016, according to federal prosecutors.
Morris allegedly ran a crack cocaine ring in the Bronx from 2015 until 2023, according to court documents. Heroin was also part of the alleged drug operation, prosecutors said.
Morris was arrested Friday and charged with murder and narcotics conspiracy, authorities said. His arraignment was pending.
“Gun violence goes hand-in-hand with the illicit drug trade, and today’s charges show the tragic consequences of that reality," NYPD Commissioner Edward A. Caban said.
