A new striker is rumoured to be high on Tottenham’s summer shopping list
The 22-year-old had a breakthrough 2023-24 season, establishing himself as a regular starter with the Eredivisie giants and finding the back of the net 22 times across all competitions.
It is well documented that despite extending Timo Werner’s loan spell at the club, Tottenham are on the lookout for further reinforcements to their forward line this summer (The Athletic).
In fact, it was claimed by GiveMeSport on Tuesday that Ange Postecoglou’s men have formed a five-man shortlist for the number nine role this summer, which consists of Santiago Gimenez, Serhou Guirassy, Ivan Toney, Lois Openda and Viktor Gyokeres.
Brian Brobbey names Spurs as a future destination
Another prolific forward has now seemingly issued a come-and-get-me plea to Spurs, with Brobbey admitting that it would be a dream come true to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
When the Netherlands international was asked where he would like to play in the future, he told HELDEN Magazine: “Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, those are nice clubs. But, if I stay at Ajax, that is certainly not a punishment.”

If Tottenham do pursue a striker from the Eredivisie this summer, it looks likely to be Feyenord’s Santiago Gimenez.
Brobbey perhaps needs to have one more outstanding season for Ajax if he is to emerge as a potential target for Europe’s elite clubs after his side had a poor domestic campaign by their own standards.
He is still early on in his career and failed to score in 14 matches at RB Leipzig before his move to Ajax, he needs to prove himself over multiple seasons before he can be linked with a move to a big club.
