ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Police announced that an arrest has been made in connection to a homicide that occurred on Broadway back in May. Ulias Kornegay, 35, of Latham, was charged with second-degree murder.
On May 24 around 2 a.m., police responded to the parking lot of Ciro's Place on Broadway following reports of a shooting. Officers located the victim, Kwon Lillard, 36, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was tended to by emergency medical personnel but was declared dead at the scene.
Further investigation by police resulted in Kornegay being identified as a suspect in the shooting, and he was taken into custody by Albany Police on Thursday morning. Kornegay was arraigned at the Albany City Criminal Court before being remanded to the Albany County Jail.
