Mom Earns Her Graduate Degree, Takes Her 3-Year-Old Son to the Ceremony
As I was watching the news the other day, I was struck by a story involving a woman who had earned her graduate degree.
The kicker was that her three-year-old son took part in the ceremony where she was awarded her hood, signifying her academic achievement.
The scene was pure joy as the child relished in his mother’s accomplishment.
Such incidents demonstrate the utter falsity of the narrative that women cannot reach their educational goals without abortion. This is not to say that parenting is without its challenges, and that the road will always be smooth.
But what it does mean is that women do not have to sacrifice their dreams on the altar of “choice.” Life-affirming solutions exist to the problems that face pregnant women. In an atmosphere of love, support, and commitment, there are no limits to what a woman can achieve.

As spring commencement season winds to a close, let us remember the strength and perseverance of women who strive for their goals with their babies by their sides. They are heroes, both inside and outside the classroom, and they are to be commended for their zest for life!
