The Dravida Muntera Kazhagham (DMK) has secured early leads in the Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha elections, ahead of its main opposition, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). With 950 candidates in the fray, Tamil Nadu recorded a voter turnout of 69.72% in the April 19 single-phase election.
