ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A pre-teen was arrested by Albany police on Tuesday in connection to a shooting on South Pearl Street. A 48-year-old woman sustained non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the arm.
The shooting took place just after 4 p.m. on May 13 on the 300-block of South Pearl Street. The victim received treatment at Albany Medical Center.
A 12-year-old boy was identified as a suspect and taken into custody. He was charged with attempted murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
He was arraigned in family court and sent to a non-secure detention facility. His identity is not being released due to his age.
