What We’re Tracking
We've held on to mostly clear skies through the night as we start off mild this morning. Temperatures are in the 60s to start off our Saturday ahead of our big warm-up for the weekend.
Expect plenty of sunshine for today and Sunday with highs topping out in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Winds will become more southerly and picking up a bit today and especially so for tomorrow. This will gradually draw up higher humidity into the area making the heat index reach the lower to middle 90s. That will set the stage for some stronger storms over the next few days.
There is a slight chance for a few isolated showers and storms later this evening, although we look to have better chances early next week. as we continue to stay mild in the 80s for Monday and Tuesday.
Our best chance for storms looks to be late Sunday and late Monday as they carry the risk of strong to severe storms. As of now, our biggest threats look to be some strong winds and hail, although we can't rule out a brief spin up.
Overall, most of the day time should be dry as our next few systems will be during the evening hours.
