Jojo Wollacott spoke to Hibs TV on Friday afternoon ahead of Sunday’s trip to face Livingston in our final game of the 2023/24 season.
The 27-year-old explained what he has made of his first season at the Hibees, admitting it has been frustrating at times due to injury.
The shot-stopper has had to wait for his opportunity in goals but has featured in the last three consecutive matches - keeping a clean sheet in our 3-0 victory over Motherwell on Wednesday.
“It’s been nice to get on the pitch again, it’s been an unfortunate season for me as it didn't go to plan with an injury at the start of the season, however, those things happen in football.
“You just have to remain patient and wait for your opportunity.”
Jojo highlighted the importance of ending the season on a high and giving the fans a performance to be proud of.
“Training has been good - it has obviously not been an ideal week with the Manager being sacked but we’re trying to stay positive, play for pride and finish the season on a high.
“After Sunday’s defeat to Aberdeen, I think it was the minimum requirement to win. We wanted to give Paul and Lewis the send-off they deserved so Wednesday, so it was an ideal night and we are looking to take that into Sunday”.
