MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian Brueckner used his rape trial to whinge about not getting enough cheese in prison.
The convicted paedo, 47, moaned of getting just one slice and also only being served toast.
His lawyer also claimed Brueckner has “not been able to shower for three years” — and the water in the court ones were cold.
Philippe Marquort went on: “He has not had anything warm to eat for days.
“We demand that he gets a hot meal when he comes here to court.
“And that he should be allowed to get a hot shower.
“When he gets a shower here then the water is cold.”
But the judge at court in Braunschweig, Germany, fired back: “I am not responsible for the showers and for the food.”
Brueckner is accused of sex offences after holiday rep Hazel Behan, 40, said he repeatedly raped her in Portugal in 2004.
It is unrelated to Madeleine’s disappearance in 2007.
He denies the claims.
