‘Kohli Is A Big Leader’: Harbhajan Singh Backs Virat To Lead RCB Again In IPL
New Delhi: India legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh backs Virat Kohli to be reappointed as captain for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League 2024. RCB made a comeback by winning five consecutive matches in ongoing tournament and now they just need to beat defending champions Chennai Super Kings to stay in the playoffs race.
While asked about the RCB’s captaincy future here is whay Harbhajan Singh said:
Why not bring Virat Kohli back as captain? As Dhoni has a lot of impact in Chennai, Virat Kohli is a big leader, he knows the kind of cricket they need to play. Now they are playing with a lot of aggression, lot of intent and that is what Virat Kohli brings. I would like to see Virat Kohli leading the side going forward.”
“I still believe that Dhoni has a lot of impact. The game at Wankhede he scored 20 odd runs and that was the difference in the end. What else do you need, his guidance, he delivers when it matters the most.”
Kohli is currently the highest run-getter of the tournament. He scored 661 runs in 13 matches with a highest score of 113*. Kohli has lead Bengaluru in 143 matches where the franchise won 66 matches with a win-loss ratio of 0.94
