A BARGAIN hunter has revealed how shoppers can find ‘secret sales’ and deals in B&M stores.
The savvy shopper who goes by @nostalgia.2000s1 on TikTok explained shoppers can use the B&M scanning app to get money off their purchases.
He said: “Come with me to find hidden sales and bargains in B&M using the scanning feature on their app.”
“First up you’re going to want to find the item you want to scan then head over to the B&M app and at the bottom of the page, press ‘scan’.
You then scan the barcode of the item and wait for it to load. It should then come up with its price”.
The savvy shopper revealed the first item he found on the app was a pack of Mentos fruits.
The retail price for the packet was originally £2.49 but once the shopper scanned the item on the B&M Sanner app it dropped to just £1.
The shopper also found a portable speaker which was listed as £30 in stores.
After scanning the device on the app he found the price of the gadget had been reduced to just £10.
He explained: “What you see on the app is the price you’re going to pay at the till.”
For gardening fans, the shopper found a floral garland which was £2.50 in the app compared to the £10 listed in store.
The shopper added I headed to the kids section and found so many toys on sale.
At the end of the video, the bargain hunter said: “If you’ve got any kids I think it’s good to get a bargain like this just to put away if you can and put them towards Christmas time.”
The savvy shopper’s video racked up over 40,000 views and over 900 likes online.
One user said: “I got some Bargains yesterday, headphones for £1, earbuds for £1 and a few other things.”
Another said: “We should do this!”
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is lower than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.
Remember you can find your nearest B&M branch by using the retailer’s store locator tool on its website.
SAVVY shoppers are using an app to find better discounts in stores.
