Hibs defender Rocky Bushiri apologised to the Hibernian FC supporters after we fell to a 4-0 defeat to Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon.
Two goals in each half from The Dons secured the points for the visitors and speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Rocky admitted the result and the performance was ‘simply not good enough’.
He said: “That was embarrassing and simply not good enough. We started the game on the front foot, had several corners and it looked like there was something for us in the game. But we conceded two quick goals and we made it very hard for ourselves and were running after the game.
“It is difficult to analyse so quickly after the game, but when you concede two goals so quickly after each other it affects you mentally. You need to be mentally strong enough to continue and to get back into the game – but I felt like that wasn’t there today.”
Rocky also apologised to the supporters for the manner of the defeat and has urged the team to bounce back in the final two games of the season.
“This moment is very hard, we apologise to all the fans that were supporting us today - we all feel like we have let lots of people down.
“But the season isn’t done yet, Wednesday is our last home game and we need to put in a performance and a positive result. It has been a difficult season but we need to do it for the Club, for the fans, for the badge, and for Paul and Stevo to end on a high.”
