Morning Briefing: Brandon Nimmo Day-to-Day After Leaving Game
Good morning, Mets fans!
The New York Mets announced that Brandon Nimmo left Saturday’s game with irritation to his right intercostal. Mets manager, Carlos Mendoza spoke with the media following Saturday’s game and said he’s “not too concerned” about Nimmo’s injury. “As of right now, it’s day-to-day,” Mendoza said.
The Mets and Braves will conclude their series in a Sunday night baseball matchup at 7:10 p.m. ET. It will be Luis Severino (2-2, 2.93 ERA) on the mound for the Mets against Bryce Elder (1-1, 5.28 ERA) for the Braves.
