Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani attended the 27th Annual Keep Memory Alive Power of Love Gala benefit for the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas on Friday night wearing brown cowboy boots and stiletto-heel leggings embellished with shimmery crystals.
Stefani typically goes for shimmery elevated footwear looks when it comes to her appearances and performances. The singer appeared at Coachella in April wearing a pair of sparkling Dr. Marten boots while reuniting with her fellow No Doubt band members. The lace-up boots reached up to the middle of her calf and had a crystal-embellished upper completed by a black translucent sole with the brand’s infamous yellow stitching. The “Sweet Escape” singer was also pictured during CRS 2024 in February wearing denim knee-high boots.
As for Blake Shelton, he tends to stick with a western style when it comes to his footwear choices. You can typically find him in cowboy boots with some sort of defining feature or embossment, such as the pairs worn to Stefani’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony this past October, and the 2022 Matrix Awards in New York City.
For last night’s annual Keep Memory Alive Power of Love Gala benefit, Stefani elected to wear a pair of stiletto-heel leggings that complemented her matching outfit. The shoes featured a pointed toe and a stiletto heel that stood about 3-inches tall. Additionally, the pumps were adorned with a shimmery crystal embellishment as the defining standout feature.
Shelton opted for a pair of his usual croc-embossed cowboy boots. Cut with leather material, the shoes were doused in a brown shade and characterized by multiple grooves in the upper. The silhouette was completed by a short block heel that clocked in at less than an inch.
Cowboy boots have an extensive history that dates back to their original use for cowboys to have a reliable sturdy shoe with enough comfort and ankle support to hold up during their expeditions. The boots also needed to be durable enough to withstand tough weather conditions. As such, cowboy boots are some of the most expertly crafted shoes you can find on the market. While their original purpose were for cowboys only, stylistically they have become a big part of modern culture when it comes to fashion. While western style has never been out of style so to speak, the look has experienced a resurgence in the year 2024 thanks to Beyoncé’s country album debut, “Cowboy Carter.”
