A YARD has gotten a much-needed facelift with a simple solution to make warm nights even more magical.
They added that the home transformation was the best thing they did for their outdoor space.
A Redditor posed the question on the social media platform.
“What has been your best addition to your backyard?” they asked.
“Mine has been my hammock and pergola. Looking for other ideas.”
Redditor Cnomo recounted their best patio upgrade to light up the night.
The Redditor chose an inexpensive and simple addition to pull the outdoor space together.
“Without a doubt, the string lights I installed over our patio,” they said.
“We turn them on year round and when it snows, they’re even better.
“They just make every evening better, whether we’re out there or not.”
They said they scored the lights from their local Costco.
“These are incandescent Feit strings from Costco. To say they’ve been great is an understatement,” they said.
“They came with dozens of extra bulbs and I’ve never had one burn out in four years. It’s crazy, really.”
They also acknowledged how “perfect” the specific string lights are for their patio.
“Our main living area of the kitchen and family room is adjacent to the patio and they’re not too bright to be distracting while inside,” they said.
“While on the patio, the light level is exactly what you’d probably want.”

“Holy s**t. When we bought our house, previous owners left the box of the same string lights in the garage on a top shelf,” one wrote.
“I’ve never thought to look inside for spare bulbs.”
