(WJW) — Starting Monday, customers who tip their Domino's Pizza delivery drivers will see a little payback.
"Tipping fatigue is real. Customers are being pressured to tip for everything these days, and it can often feel thankless," the pizza chain said on its website. "Domino’s wants to show its appreciation for customers who tip their drivers, by tipping them back."
Called "You Tip, We Tip," the pizza chain is offering $3 back to customers who order online and tip their drivers at least $3.
The money doesn't come in the form of cash though, but $3 will go toward your order the next week.
“Domino’s drivers have been hustling to deliver hot, delicious pizzas since 1960, and we love that customers have been tipping them for their great service since day one,” chief brand officer Kate Trumbull said in a statement. “But these days, everywhere you go, there’s a tip screen. The pressure to tip is real, even when no extra service is provided. So, we decided to flip the script and show our appreciation by tipping customers back.”
To receive your tip, you must order a prepaid delivery only with at least $3 in tip included. Eligible customers will get a $3 coupon via email to use on an online delivery order the next week, Monday through Sunday.
In addition, the coupon is "stackable," meaning it can be combined with other offers, but customers can earn only one $3 coupon per order per day.
