Sword attack: one killed, several injured by man in London
London police say a young man in London city killed one person and injured five others with a sword.
Foreign media, citing London police, have reported that this man, approximately 37 years old, fatally stabbed a 14-year-old with sword attacks.
Based on reports, this child, reportedly 14 years old, succumbed to injuries moments after being transferred to the hospital.
According to police report, this man has also injured five other individuals with a sword.
Police stated, “A man with a sword has been arrested.” Around 7 a.m. local time, police were informed that “people were injured” in the Hainault area in East London near a metro station. Eyewitnesses reported that this man attacked passersby and two police officers.
While the motive for this killing is still unclear, a spokesperson for the London police said they are not seeking any other suspects and do not believe there is any danger in this area.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak described the attack as shocking in his social media account, writing: “Such violence has no place on our streets.”
