Connor MacPherson, recruit Ben Merrill listed in NHL Central Scouting’s Final Draft Rankings

PENTICTON, B.C. – NHL Central Scouting released its Final Rankings for the 2024 NHL Draft on Tuesday, which includes Penticton Vees forward Connor MacPherson.
MacPherson is ranked 195th among North American Skaters, which projects as a 7th round pick in the upcoming NHL Draft in June.
The 19-year-old, finished fourth in team scoring in the regular season, after he posted 42 points (11G, 31A) in 54 games. MacPherson led the Vees with six game-winning goals and his 31 assists ranked second on the team. He finished sixth in BCHL Rookie scoring.
The Windsor, Ontario, product has posted two goals in four BCHL Playoff games, as he helped the Vees to a four-game sweep over the Prince George Spruce Kings in Round One. MacPherson is committed to the University of New Hampshire
Forward Ben Merrill, who is committed for the 2024-25, is ranked 127th among North American Skaters. The 6’3, 190-pound forward played at St. Sebastian’s School Needham, Massachusetts. Merrill had 24 points (11G, 13A) in 28 games. Merrill is committed to Harvard University.
MacPherson was listed in NHL Central Scouting’s Midterm Rankings in January. In total, 14 current and future BCHL players have been named to NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings. The 2024 NHL Draft is scheduled for June 28-29, in Las Vegas.
