Shivam Dube Over Hardik Pandya in India’s T20 World Cup Squad – Fans URGE BCCI After CSK Star’s Heroics in IPL 2024 at Wankhede
Mumbai: Speculations are rife over who will fill-up the fast-bowling all-rounder’s slot for the T20 World Cup. The two strong contenders for that spot are – Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya. While the MI captain is the more popular choice given his experience at the international stage, but looks like Shivam is giving a stiff competition to the more established all-rounder.
Controversies have surrounded Hardik recently and his personal form with the bat and the ball has not been much to speak about, whereas the CSK basher has not put a foot wrong this IPL season and is surely making a good case for himself ahead of the squad announcement.

At the time of filing the copy, CSK, who were put into bat are 145 for two in 15 overs. Dube is on 49* off 27 balls, while the CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is on 69* off 39 balls.
“We would like to bowl first, dew will come into play. It (pitch) looks better than the last game, expecting a lot of runs. Need to stick to the basics. Winning is very important to get the momentum. We were able to win two games convincingly. That’s the beauty about IPL, everyone has to contribute. Your team will be able to achieve goals eventually. The dew started coming post 10 overs. It gets heavier in the evening. Same team,” Hardik said at the toss.
