Goldie Hawn Just Revealed the Biggest Reason She Fell for Kurt Russell & It’s as Sweet as We Imagined
Together since 1983, Goldie Hawn has undoubtedly found the love of her life in her longtime partner Kurt Russell. And while we will always love them from afar, we’re always also keeping our ears open for some of their relationship secrets.
In a recent clip from SiriusXM’s Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend obtained by People, for example, Hawn revealed the biggest thing that attracted her to him – and no, it wasn’t just his good looks.
“He is a family man,” Hawn said. “I can’t explain it, but he was the one for me. It wasn’t just because he was sexy and handsome and all of those things you get turned on by; it was because he matched my devotion to children to be number one.”
As a reminder, Hawn shares kids Kate and Oliver Hudson with her ex-husband Bill Hudson and younger son Wyatt Russell with Russell.
“The one thing that we have, the greatest thing in God’s world, is our family,” she continued. “That is where we thrive and where we have incredible amounts of joy and really focus on that.”
“The seduction was really his personality and his focus on the children,” she added. Steamy!
With that said, Hawn did go on to admit the one thing they don’t have in common. “We don’t agree on everything,” she said. “His politics are different than mine.”
Last month, Hawn dished on her relationship with Russell on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast. “If we were married, there probably could have been times where you go, ‘Oh, c’mon — I’m done,’” she explained of their decision to never walk down the aisle. “What I like is waking up in the morning… and actually making a choice to be with someone. I got a wild guy here… I picked him,” she said. “I like that guy.”
Hawn then even remembered the romantic gestures she still receives, even decades into their relationship. “He still brings me my coffee in the morning,” she said. “He grabbed me the other day and kissed me all over my face and I kissed him back.”
With a love as sweet and true as this one, we can’t help but admire it!
