Nicer & warmer weekend ahead for Columbus area

FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Friday Evening,
It has been a cool, breezy, and damp day today, with scattered light rain showers, small hail in spots, and a few rumbles of thunder. Skies are clearing to our west in Indiana, and will do so in our area this evening. Overnight, expect clearing skies, with the breeze settling down a bit, with lows dropping back to normal in the lower 40s.
Saturday, expect a breezy day still, with sunshine expected throughout the day, and high temps pushing up into the lower to near middle 60s. Saturday night will not be as cool as we will stay in the upper 40s under mostly clear skies. Expect sunshine to give way to clouds, and eventually a few storms by the evening hours on Sunday with highs up into the middle 70s.
Rain chances will be possible with a weak frontal passage. However, sunshine and drier air will resume for Monday with the front just to our south. This will still allow temps to warm into the low to mid 70s on Monday. The front will start to retreat north as a warm front for Tuesday with a chance of a few isolated showers, and highs in the middle to upper 70s.
Wednesday will have a better chance of scattered showers and storms ahead of the next cold front. We will have a very strong south-southwesterly flow, and temps even without a lot of sunshine should surge into the middle 70s once again. Rain and storms will be likely on Thursday, with the chance of some stronger storms too. This will be along a powerful cold front that could see a nearly 20 degree drop from one side to the other.
This will leave light showers, breezy conditions, and highs only in the mid to upper 50s in the front's wake on Friday of next week.
