The Vees grabbed a 3-0 series lead on Tuesday with their 3-2 double overtime win over the Spruce Kings. Conyr Hellyer scored the game-winner, eight minutes into the second overtime period.
Simon Meier and Anselmo Rego scored in regulation for Penticton. Will Ingemann stopped 30 of 32 shots to improve his record to 2-0. He has stopped 50 of 52 shots in his two starts.
Penticton trailed for the first time in the series in the third period last night, but that lasted all of five minutes, before Rego tied the game, which eventually forced OT.
Th Vees now looks to advance to the second round with a win tonight in Game Four. The cliché saying of “the fourth one is the hardest to win” certainly applies tonight, as Penticton can expect a desperate Prince George team.
Andrew Ness will get the start in net. The 19-year-old had a 13-save shutout in his first start back in Game Two. Defenceman Daniel Buchbinder was hurt in the first period last night and is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Nate McIsaac will dress in place of Buchbinder.
Going back to the regular season, the Vees have won seven-straight road games, which dates back to February 24th.

The Spruce Kings look to stave off elimination with a win, as they try to force a Game Five Friday.
The Spruce Kings scored their first goal of the series last night, snapping a shutout streak of just over 143 minutes. They also had their first lead in the third period when Scott Cousins scored that made it 2-1.
Starter Ryan Sanborn was solid in his playoff debut, stopped 33 of 35 shots in 69 minutes of work, before leaving the game due to injury. 17-year-old Ryder Green 15 of 16 shots in relief.
Prince George played five defenceman last night, even in both overtime periods. Veterans Kai Greaves and Amran Bhabra each played over 40 minutes in Game Three. Now, they need to reset for a must win Game Four. How much juice do they have left?
