‘I’m officially a convert’ say Amazon shoppers as self-emptying robot vacuum is reduced from £339 to £199

AMAZON is currently offering a massive discount on a big-name robot vacuum, with a feature that’s rare at this price point.

Shoppers are rushing to pick up the self-emptying Ecovacs Deebot N8+ for £199, reduced from £339.

This handy little appliance has a marked deal price of £219, but if you click on the voucher box on the product page you can save an extra £20 when you pay at the checkout.

We’re between sales right now: Easter Weekend has been and gone, Amazon’s Spring Sale wrapped up last month, and we’re a few months away yet from Prime Day (dates unconfirmed but always in July).

But this exceptional deal, which I spotted on Amazon’s best-selling robot vacuums list, has proved a major hit with shoppers.

But it’s not just about the price drop: the N8+ also caught my eye because of a feature that’s a serious rarity among robo vacs at this price point.

In fairness, it’s got loads of features you won’t see in budget-end robot vacuums, like LiDAR laser mapping (it will chart the layout of your home) and an additional mop function.

But it’s the self-emptying capabilities of the N8+ that stand out the most.

Among most budget and mid-range robot vacs (I’m talking between £150 and £300) you will need to manual empty their containers, much like you would with a typical vacuum.

But the Deebot N8+, when it returns to its charging station, will automatically eject its contents into the attached chamber.

Like pretty much every robot vac on the market, it can be scheduled and operated via a smartphone app
