Report: Daniel Levy’s bonus for 2023 revealed after Tottenham ticket price hike
As Tottenham Hotspur report their financial results for the last year, it has been revealed that Daniel Levy has been awarded another huge bonus for his work as the club’s chairman.
Levy is the longest-serving chairman in the Premier League, having taken on his role way back in 2001. Since then, he has helped to turn Tottenham into a financial juggernaut in the world of football.
According to the Deloitte football money league for 2024, Spurs are now the eighth richest club in the game, overtaking London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea recently.
The development of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has played a big part in this commercial success, with the venue becoming a huge revenue stream for the club, not just for football, but for events such as boxing, NFL, and music concerts, too.
Tottenham revealed their end-of-year financial results today, with revenue up 24% to £549.6m, but overall losses increasing to £86.8m from £50.1m the previous year.
Daniel Levy gets a huge bonus at Tottenham
Included in the report and detailed by Football.London, it is revealed Levy was paid £3.581m last year, a significant increase from his £3.265m salary the year before.
The Spurs chairman also received an accrued bonus of £3m across the year, and it is noted that he received the same amount as a bonus back in 2019 when construction on the new stadium was completed.
Interestingly, Football.London claim the recent 6% increase in season ticket prices would equate to somewhere between £2.5-3m, a similar figure to the bonus Levy has been awarded.

I find the whole idea of these super-rich executives getting multi-million-pound bonuses incredibly immoral, to be honest. Yes, Levy has done a fine job in boosting the economic success of the football club, but it’s unfathomable that someone so wealthy should be given even more money, when the fans of the club are being made to shell out more of their own hard-earned cash to see the team.
