I’m a makeup artist and swear by £3.55 buy for long, healthy lashes – it works a treat, you don’t need anything fancy
A SAVVY beauty fan has revealed the bargain buy she swears by for long and healthy eyelashes – and it serves another purpose too.
Carla Kent is a qualified makeup artist and regularly delights her social media followers (@carlakentx) with her cosmetics hauls and makeover tips.
In a recent post, she lifted the lid on some of her favourite beauty products.
She recommends CeraVe for skincare and cream, and says it’s “especially good” if you have congested, bumpy skin.
Her staple moisturiser is “soft and soothing” Clinique, while she opts for a £13.99 Maybelline skin tint instead of foundation.
And she also let her fellow beauty fans in on a little secret about how she achieves long and luscious lashes.
Her £3.55 product of choice, Nivea’s double effect waterproof eye makeup remover.
Carla insists that it helps to strengthen her eyelashes while removing any mascara and eye products.
The 27-year-old, from Glasgow, said: “I don’t use any special lash growers, I use this.
“Just try it for a week and thank me later.
“It has biotin in it so iykyk [if you know you know.”
Biotin works both internally and externally when it comes to strengthening hairs.
It doesn’t miraculously make your natural lashes grow 5 millimeters longer overnight, but it will help them grow properly and stay healthy, so they don’t fall out prematurely.
The Nivea eye makeup remover costs £3.55 in Tesco.
