Hospital Kills the Wrong Baby in Abortion
A hospital in the Czech Republic mixed up patients and did an abortion on the wrong woman – killing her perfectly healthy baby.
The medical error on March 25 occurred at a hospital in Prague, where a health 4-month-old baby was killed in the mistaken abortion.
The pregnant mom was supposed to be given a routine medical checkup when she was sedated and, instead of a full exam, her baby was aborted.
To add insult to injury, the hospital merely called killing her baby “an adverse event.”
“An adverse event occurred at our Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic,” hospital spokeswoman Eva Stolejda Libigerová told CNN Prima. “According to the findings so far, as a result of serious violations and non-compliance with internal regulations by the employees concerned, an operation was started on an incorrectly identified patient.”
The spokeswoman added to Prahain.cz, which broke the story: “We expressed our deep regret and apology to the patient and her entire family for this unfortunate event and assured her that we will do everything to mitigate the damage as much as possible and also compensate her.”
“As an accredited teaching hospital, we have clearly defined rules and procedures that our medical staff is obliged to follow without exception,” the spokeswoman said. “The affected staff of the clinic is placed off duty pending a full evaluation of the adverse event, with the understanding that, in the event of a violation of binding work procedures as part of the current internal investigation, specific individuals will be held personally liable.”

It’s incredibly rare that such a mix-up like this happens. But it’s a consequence of legalized abortion. And because abortion is legal and it’s okay to kill babies in abortions, these kinds of errors can end the life of an unborn child.
Had the Czech Republic not had legalized abortion, this would never have occurred. And it’s further proof that abortion is not health care.
