i read an interview with Jimmy Mcmullan (scottish captain) following the famous match with the english in 1928 (that of wembley wizards).
He said that the England lost because they were still marking opposite wingers with their winghalf, and this had created large holes in the center exploited by the scottish inside-forwards. He also specified that in Scotland the winghalf marked the inside-forwards for a long time. Is it possible?
