Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud emphasized the need for a "delicate balance" between the search and seizure powers of investigative agencies like the CBI and an individual's right to privacy. Speaking at the D P Kohli memorial lecture, he highlighted the importance of upholding due process and cautioned against "unwarranted" confiscation of personal devices.
