Kate’s camp hope clampdown on ‘doom loop’ of social media bile will be ‘the only good news to come out of cancer shock’

KATE Middleton’s camp hope a clampdown on the “doom loop” of social media bile spouted against her will be “the only good news to come out of her cancer shock”.

The Princess, 42, revealed her health battle to the world in an emotional clip on Friday just weeks after Charles bravely spoke out on his diagnosis.

In the moving video, Kate she said the discovery was a “huge shock” but vowed she was “going to be OK” as she underwent rounds of preventative chemotherapy.

It comes after weeks of intense speculation and wild conspiracy theories about the whereabouts and health of Kate.

Social media users couldn’t help themselves but spread vile claims – forcing Kensington Palace to reiterate Kate’s recovery period.

Despite horrendous actions from keyboard warriors, TikTok creators and even celebrities, Kate bravely told the world what she has been battling.

Even though the video message was NOT to shut up theorists online it resulted in a influx of apologies.

A source close to Kate and William has since told The Times easily spread misinformation can now be stopped in light of this.

They said: “For her to come out and say that gives us hope.

“This could be one piece of good news to come out of
this.

“There is so much misinformation out there. She’s in a position to
do something about it.”

Imran Ahmed – boss of the Centre for Countering Hate – this morning said on BBC 1, Sunday With  Laura Kuenssberg, that algorithms on social media take the most controversial information and push it.

He said: “You’re not really seeing what a billion people are seeing on social media which is designed to be as addictive as possible.

“It is promoting controversy, promoting conspiracy theories [and] hate. Not just because people agree with it but because people disagree with it.

“This sense that everyone is coming up with conspiracy theories about Princess Kate – one of the warnings I would give is please don’t think it is a safe and clever place to get information from.

“Actually it can be a deeply distorted as a lens on the world.

“Social media bosses could do something about it but they choose not to.”

Kate believed Friday was the right time to tell the world because her three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis had broken up for the Easter holidays.

A former royal advisor told Laura Kuenssberg on Sunday that the speculation Kate was subject to was “the worst I’ve ever seen.

Paddy Harverson, who was previously the official spokesman of Kate and the Prince of Wales, said: “Well, it feeds off itself.

“It’s a sort of permanent doom loop. And it’s the worst I’ve ever seen.

“I’m absolutely convinced that if we hadn’t had all the madness and social media, if we hadn’t had the sort of the Mother’s Day photo mistake, they would have still done it like this.

“They would have still waited till this last Friday when the schools are breaking up to make the announcement.”

Incredibly, some disgraceful bullies hiding behind their screens are still suggesting the royal’s video was AI generated.

TONY PARSONS: The global tsunami of sadistic bullying must end

Like our late Queen – Kate gets it right. Her two minutes and twenty seconds address to the nation told us everything we needed to know.

Like the Queen’s speeches during the pandemic, it was absolutely word perfect – and deeply, almost overwhelmingly moving.

Charles and Kate have been the stars of the Royal Family after the loss of Queen Elizabeth II.

Charles – who waited so long for the throne – is the soul of the Royal Family. And Kate is the heart.

That they both now face their own private battles with cancer is a tragedy for them, and their families, and our country.
What cruel luck.

Cancer is never trivial. And yet there are reasons to be optimistic, and hopeful, and believe that these battles can be won

“It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK,” Kate said.

“As I have said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal – in my mind, body and spirits.”

We know Kate will receive the best medical treatment in the world.

We know she is surrounded by a family that loves her. And we know she is a fighter.

What she needs now, more than anything, is to be left alone.
God knows she deserves it.

She has been hounded in a cruel, merciless, mob-handed way that even the previous Princess of Wales, William’s mother, Diana, never had to endure.

Diana had packs of foreign paparazzi stalking her. Kate has had the entire internet hounding her.

Even Diana did not suffer the global tsunami of sadistic bullying that is inflicted on Kate. Enough. Enough. Enough.

What matters now is that a 42-year-old mother of three small children aged ten and under is given all the room she needs to beat cancer.

And all those who have bullied her in recent weeks – crawl back under your stones and hang your heads in shame.

Our heart goes out to her today. And to her husband. And to those three small children.

In the turmoil of recent years, after all the spite and poison spewed by Mr and Mrs Markle, and after all the lurid scandal heaped on the family by Prince Andrew, Kate has been a still centre of goodness, calm and decency.

Queen Elizabeth made us all monarchists. Kate ensured that a nation kept on believing.

These have been years of trauma and turmoil for the British Royal Family.

But if anything, the constant royal ructions caused by the whining runaways in California have made our people cherish Catherine, Princess of Wales, even more.

Hugo Vickers, royal historian, told The Sun: “The conspiracy theorists, went in big time in the last few days.

“It says an awful lot about the mindset of these people. The high profile ones, but also the very irresponsible members of the general public who just sort of weighed in as well.”

It comes after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix “cheerleader” targeted Kate moments after her cancer diagnosis shocked the world.

Christopher Bouzy, who had a starring role in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix show, trolled the royal mum-of-three on X/Twitter 31 minutes after her video was released.

The tech mogul, 48, said Kate’s illness was stage-managed akin to “North Korean propaganda”.

A royal expert claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex jumped on the perfect opportunity to try and fix their relationship with Kate and Wills.

Harry and Meghan released a short statement sending their well-wishes to Kate.

The pair said: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”

But Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun Kate’s diagnosis is the “perfect opportunity” for Harry and Meghan to mend their rift with the Waleses – and nothing more.

Grovelling celebs who spouted vile Kate conspiracies are shameful bullies, says royal expert

VILE celebrities who dished out conspiracies about Princess Kate's health should be 'ashamed'.

Hugo Vickers, royal historian, told The Sun: “The conspiracy theorists, went in big time in the last few days.

“It says an awful lot about the mindset of these people. The high profile ones, but also the very irresponsible members of the general public who just sort of weighed in as well.

“It was extremely unattractive because, we all love the Princess of Wales, and she’s done a fantastic job.

“She’s really faultless in everything she’s done ever since she married Prince William.”

The expert added all the vile trolling and ‘Katespiracies’ would have “made things much more difficult” than they already were.

“I think quite simply, they should be feeling very ashamed of themselves,” he added.

“I think quite a few people have popped up and apologised, and rightly so.

“This is not something you should be joking about, or bonding about all sorts of absurd theories.”

“You will always have conspiracy theories because if you’re a conspiracy theorist, that’s what you do,” continued Mr Vickers.

“There are always going to be people coming up with theories and they always will so that you can’t stop.

“I think that anyone who pops up with some ludicrous theory about the princess would get very short shrift.

“And so I imagine that they will go to ground to be quite honest, because in a sense, they are bullies. They’re pushing it the whole time.

“And as somebody rightly said years ago, inside every bully, there’s a coward desperately trying to stay in.”

Kate “wrote every word” of her video message before privately discussing it with the King in a heart-to-heart lunch at Windsor Castle.

Charles has rallied around his “beloved” daughter-in-law during her ordeal as someone who can understand what she’s going through.

Doting husband Prince William has been by her side throughout – taking a step back from his royal duties and pulling out of engagements last minute.

On Wednesday, when the video was filmed Wills however did attend a royal engagement – making a private visit to the Welsh Guards at the Combermere Barracks, near Windsor.

The day after, the King travelled to visit Kate who was keen to speak to him about his struggle and find out how he was coping.

A source said of the Windsor Castle get-together: “It is highly unusual for just the two of them to sit down together like this.

“The King had already been made aware that the woman he calls ‘my beloved daughter-in-law’ had cancer.

“They would have had lots to discuss and share because just weeks earlier the King had begun his course of treatment and dealt with announcing his diagnosis.

“The King left his lunch feeling very emotional.

Camilla has been Charles’ “rock” following his diagnosis and wants to be as supportive for Kate.
